Game Description:

Billions of years ago, a giant explosion of gas and dust created the Universe along with our own Solar System of 9 planets and their moons.  For thousands of years humans have been gazing at the night sky watching and learning about our place in the Universe.  Now you can watch and learn about the Universe in the security and warmth of your own bedroom.  Simply hang the glowing 3-D Solar System from your ceiling, turn out the lights and watch as the Universe comes alive.

Amazing Planetary Facts

Mercury: Only slightly larger than our moon, Mercury has a densely packed iron core and weighs as much as the Earth.

Venus: Venus was named after the God of Love because it looks so beautiful, but in reality, it is the hottest and driest of all the planets.

Earth: Because the Earth is covered with so much water, when viewed from space, it looks like a bright blue ball.

Mars: Mars is known as the red planet because it appears to shine with a reddish hue when viewed from Earth.

Jupiter: Jupiter's diameter is 11 times greater than Earth's diameter, but it rotates once every 10 hours instead of once every 24 hours.

Saturn: The rings of Saturn are actually made up of about 100,000 individual ringlets consisting of small ice blocks that orbit the planet.

Uranus: This planet is tilted on its side so that its north and south poles are in line with the sun.

Neptune: Neptune is believed to consist of a rocky core surrounded by melted ice and covered by an atmosphere of mostly hydrogen and helium.

Pluto: Although Pluto is normally the planet furthest from the Sun, its oval orbit causes it to cross inside the path of Neptune for 20 years at a time.

Instructions

  • Planets:
    1.
Align the two halves of the planet.
    2.
    Snap the halves securely together.

  • Stars:
    1.

    2.
The adhesive is safe and non-toxic but please do not use it on fresh paint or wallpaper.

    1.
Expose the planets and stars to light for one minute.
    2.
Turn off the lights and watch them glow.
