Area Trios
Measurement Game
Description:
Have fun and increase understanding of
area computation at the same time! Area TRIOs provides students practice
in solving for area, finding the value of an unknown side, and using the
correct form of measurement.
Area TRIOs will encourage a greater understanding of what area is and
how to calculate it. Students will enhance necessary skills to help with
measurement calculations and multiplication division practice while also
building confidence to do so independently. Game play can be used in
independent practice or in small groups or pairs.
Educational Benefit:
- Determine the area of a rectangle and a square
- Use the formula for finding area (length x width)
- Practice multiplication and division
