Game Description:
Shuffle and place
pack face down.
Then simply take
one card at a time from the top of the pack and place it face up on a
flat surface touching (not overlapping) at least one of the cards
already place and matching as many chain of color as possible.
Add up the
number of squares in each chain of color formed, which must include
squares from the new card and at least one others, and total.
Only contact along
an edge counts.
The object of the
game is to obtain the highest score possible, so two chains of eight are
better than three chains of four each.
Score after each
card is positioned, and keep a running total. (See example card)
Continue until all
42 cards have been placed.
CONTINUO®
for 2 players
Take the top cards
and place them approximately in the centre of the playing surface, so
that the maximum score is obtained. Do not score this. Then
play in turn according to the basic rules and examples, but score
individually.
The score should be
agreed before it is written down.
CONTINUO® for 3
players
Take the top 3
cards and place approximately in the centre of the playing surface, so
that the maximum score is obtained. Do not score this.
Continue as for 2 players.
CONTINUO® for 4
& 5 players
Same as for
two players.
Optional Rule:
Before play begins, define the area of the playing surface outside
which no card, or part of a card, may protrude.
