Fish! Giant Size
Card Game
Description:
6 Educational
Activities:
1. Color Matching: Match the fish that are the same color.
2. Counting: Count how many fish there are in each color. Count how many
letters in the different color names. Count how many fins each fish has.
3. Classification: Classify the fish based o their color, the direction
they are facing, or the number of eyes displayed.
4. Pattern Recognition: Identify all the same shape fish; find how many
circular shapes can be found on each fish.
5. Concentration: Mix the Cards well. Place each card face-down on a
table. The object is to find all 20 pairs of 2 matching fish by
remembering their location when briefly turned face up. Player 1 turns
one car face up, and then another. If the fish match, Player 1 keeps
that pair and tries again. If the 2 cards don't match, the cards are
turned back face down, and it is the next player's turn. After all cards
have been paired, the player with the most cards win.
6. "the Old Seahorse": Remove 3 of the 4 Seahorse cards from the deck.
Deal all the cards. Players begin by laying all pairs of matching fish
they currently have after the deal. The player to the left of the dealer
takes one card from the player to his/her right (the dealer). If that
card matches another card in the player's hand, he or she can place this
pair face up in the center of the table. He or she can then take another
card from the same person and try to make more pairs.
When the player can not make a match, the player to his of her left
takes a turn. (Taking from the player to his/her right.)
Continue all around the circle until every card is matched. The last
player left holding the Seahorse is "The Old Seahorse."
