HOW TO PLAY - BIBLE MAD GAB CARD - GAME RULES

Object:
Collect ten cards by solving ten word puzzles correctly.  Puzzles consist of a set of unrelated words that, when read aloud, sound like familiar phrases, names, places, etc.  For example, "Tack Hair Rough Mash Heap" sound like "Take Care of My Sheep."

Set Up:

• We suggest having an NIV Bible handy when playing.  This is not necessary for play, but will enhance your Bible Mad Gab® experience.
   

• Shuffle and deal out the entire deck, half to each team.  These are the cards you will show to your opponents.  Decide on which colored side of the cards you will be playing.  Playing only one color at a time will help avoid repeats in future games.  The blue side is for beginners and the orange side is for experts.

Play:

• One team begins by sliding the top card in their pack up halfway and holding the pack of cards in such a way that the opposing team may see only the one puzzle that is revealed
   

• The opposing team must try to solve the puzzle.  If you'd like to designate a time limit, somebody from the non-solving team can watch the clock (15 seconds is a good amount of time), or hum a catchy tune.

• Answers can be found in small type on the side of the card opposite the puzzle.
   

• If the puzzle is solved, the solving team may keep that card (separately from their card pack).  If the puzzle is not solved.  It is placed on the bottom of the card pack, and it becomes the other team's turn to solve a puzzle.

Winning:
The first team to collect ten cards (after both teams have had the same number of turns) is the winner.

In the Event of a Tie:
Keep playing as before until a winner is determined.
