HOW TO PLAY -
GRAMMILLIONAIRE
- GAME
RULES
HOW TO PLAY:
-
Place the 'Give me a break' cards face
down on or next to the game board. GramMillionaire question
cards are placed on or next to the board. there is no front of
back to the question cards and they may be placed in any order.
Each players selects a marker and places it on the $100 (Start)
space. Determine the order of play by spinning the spinner
three times (add the three numbers). The highest roller goes
first.
-
To begin, all players place their
markers on the $100 space.
A. The player who spun the highest
number goes first. Spin the spinner to determine how many
spaces to move (1, 2, or 3). If you land on a dollar amount
space or Copper/Penny space, another player will read a
multiple-choice question, if you wish to read it yourself, you may
do so only AFTER it has been read to you. When you are ready
to give your answer the player ASKING the question must ask you "ARE
YOU SURE?" The player who is reading the question will verify
the answer by flipping the card to the reverse side and looking at
the bottom of the card.
If the answer is CORRECT you move forward to the next DOLLAR amount
space (Example: if you are $200.00 and the answer is correct to move
forward to the $300.00 space). Remain on that space until your
next urn. If the answer is WRONG, move back ONE space which
may be a 'Give Me a Break', dollar amount or a Copper/Penny space.
(Note: if you are on $100 and get the answer wrong just stay on $100
until your next turn). If you are on a dollar amount space
other than $100, simply go back one space. Remain on that
space until your next turn.
B. If a player does not
get an answer correct after three consecutive turns, he/she may ask
for a 50-50 choice on the next question card (the player reading the
card will only give two possible answers the correct one and another
choice). This helps the player move forward.
Example of how to play:
Let's say you are on the $1,000 dollar space:
Which sentence is correct?
a) You are all the time complaining.
b) You all the time complaining.
c) You are complaining all the time.
d) None of the above.
- As soon as you have given your answer, the player who read
the card will ask you:
"ARE YOU SURE?"
- If a player says "I'M SURE" this finalizes the answer and
if you chose C you are correct!
Answers are indicated at the bottom of the cards, on the reverse
side.
- If the answer is CORRECT, move forward one dollar amount
space and remain there until your next turn. If the answer is
WRONG, the correct answer is read aloud to all players and you must
move back one space.
- If an answer is D, 'None of the above', you must provide
the CORRECT answer otherwise you can not move forward.
- If you are on $950,000 space and spin a three, you cannot
land on the Millionaire space. You must go back to 'Give Me a
Break' space. You have to spin a two or a one to be able to
land on the Million dollar space.
C. When you land on a "COPPER/PENNY
space, you are asked a question (same as above). However, if
the answer is CORRECT you are safe and you move forward one space.
If the answer is WRONG, you must go back to the beginning of the
previous money row! (Example: you are on $700,000 and your
answer is wrong, you have to go back to $400,000.)
D. When a player lands on a 'Give me a
break' space, an opposing player picks up a 'Give me a break' card
and reads aloud one at a time, five irregular verbs. (Note:
There are a few surprise cards in the pile!) Player must give
the correct past and past participle form of the irregular verbs
within then seconds! If you get all of them correct in 10
seconds you move forward two spaces, if WRONG you must move back two
(2) spaces! After a player finishes with the card, put it into
a discard pile.
-
Play continues until one player has
reached the top of the pyramid and wins one million dollars! or
until a certain time limit has been reached and then the player who
has the highest dollar amount wins. Can you become a
GramMillionaire?
GAME RULES:
- Players have the option of reading the question after it has
