RULES
Object:
Try to be left with just one peg.
Set Up:
Place the red pegs on the gameboard, leaving just the center hole
empty.
Playing:
You can jump over a peg with another peg horizontally or vertically
(not diagonally!). When you jump over a peg, you can remove it.
Multiple jumps with one peg are allowed.
Scoring:
When you have no jumps left, count how many pegs are left on your
board.
6 or more
left.................................BETTER LUCK NEXT TIME
5 pegs left......................................NOT BAD
4 pegs left......................................VERY GOOD
3 pegs left......................................EXCELLENT
2 pegs left......................................SENSATIONAL
1 peg left.......................................OUTSTANDING
1 peg left in the center hole.............PERFECT HI-Q GENIUS
Game Variations:
Blue Peg Game: Set up the game as above but, in place of any
red peg, substitute the blue peg. Try to end the game with only
the blue peg left.
Advanced Game: Same game as
above, but try to end the game with only the blue peg left... in the
center hole!
Start and Finish Games: Set
up the game as shown, but leave any hole other than the center hole
empty. Try to end the game with one peg left in the hole that was
originally empty. Using the diagram, try to start and finish in
holes A-1, B-1, C-4, D-1, E-3 and F-2.
Hidden Square: Leaving the
center hole empty as in the basic game, try to finish with four pegs in
these holes: C-3, C-5, E-3, and E-5.
