GAME
GAME
RULES
Hunny Pot Game for ages 3 and up
Object of the Game:
Help Pooh's friends find their belongings
and share a yummy pot of hunny with Pooh!
Let's get ready to play: Place the "Hunny is Yummy" Card on the
table where everyone can reach it. The oldest child is the dealer.
Deal each player one Character Card and one Hunny Pot Card. Place
the Character Card and Hunny Pot Card in front of you. The dealer
selects the 6 matching "Oh Bother" Cards for each character and sets the
remaining cards aside. You will not need them for this game.
Shuffle the selected "Oh Bother!" cards. Spread the cards out,
face down in the middle of the table to create a fish pond.
Let's play: The youngest child goes first. Draw one card
from the fish pond. If it belongs to your character, take the
card, place it next to your Character Card, and draw another card.
If the card doesn't belong to your character, return it to the character
it belongs to. Your turn is over. The player on your left
goes next. Play continues in a clockwise direction.
As soon as you have collected all 6 "Oh Bother" Cards that belong to
your character, take your Hunny Pot Card and place it beside the "Hunny
is Yummy" Card and say "Pooh, your Hunny is Sooooo Yummy."
Continue playing until all players have given Pooh a Hunny Pot Card.
Everyone wins!
Hunny Pot Game for ages 4 and up
Let's get ready to play:
Set up as in the previous version with the
following exceptions:
Shuffle the selected "Oh Brother" Cards, and place them face down in the
middle of the table, in rows, as follows:
4 Player Game - 4 rows of 6 cards
3 Player Game - 3 rows of 6 cards
2 Player Game - 4 rows of 3 cards
Let's Play:
The youngest player goes first. Turn
over two "Oh Bother" Cards at a time. If the cards you turn over
match, take BOTH cards and give them to the character they belong to and
turn over two new cards. If the cards you turn over do not match,
turn them face down. Your turn is over. The player on your
left goes next. Player continues in a clockwise direction.
As soon as you have collected all 6 "Oh Bother" Cards that belong to
your character, take your Hunny Pot Card and place it beside the "Hunny
is Yummy" Card and say, "Pooh, your Hunny is Sooooo Yummy."
Continue playing until all players have given Pooh a Hunny Pot Card.
Everyone wins!
Hunny Pot Game for ages 5 and up
Object of the Game:
Collect 4 hunny pots and capture the Hunny
is Yummy Card to win!
Let's get ready to play:
If you are playing with 2 players, remove
6 Hunny Pot Cards from the deck and place them aside. If you are
playing with 3 players, remove 3 Hunny Pot Cards from the deck. If
you are playing with 4 players, use the entire deck.
Select a Character Card and place it on the table in front of you.
You will pretend to be this character during the game! Leave it on
the table to remind the other players of who you are pretending to be
and what object you have lost in Pooh's hunny pot, so they can return it
to you.
Choose a Dealer. The Dealer places the Pooh's "Hunny is Yummy"
Card in the center of the table, shuffles the cards and deals each
player four cards, face up on the table. The remainder of the
cards are placed face down in a stack on the table where all players can
reach them. This is the Draw Pile. The Dealer draws the top
card and places it face up beside the Draw Pile. This is the
Discard Pile. Note: If the first card drawn is a "Busy Bees" Card,
place it on the bottom of the Draw Pile and draw a new card.
Note: If you are dealt a Busy Bees Card, you may play this card on
any of your turns.
Let's play!: Play moves in a clockwise direction. The
youngest player goes first. Draw one card from the Draw Pile and
add it to you hand. Next, discard any one card from your hand by
placing it face up on the Discard Pile. During your turn you may
trade an "Oh Bother!" Card for a hunny pot card belonging to another
player. (See "Trading Oh Bother cards")
The next player draws, discards and trades in the same manner. If
the Draw Pile becomes depleted, shuffle the Discard Pile and place the
cards face down in a stack on the table to create a new Draw Pile.
Remember that you are trying to collect four hunny pots.
Trading Oh Bother Cards
"Oh Bother...Now how did that get in my hunny pot?"
If you are holding an "Oh Bother!" card that "belongs" to another
player, on your turn, you may trade it for a card held by that player.
For example: If you have a card picturing Piglet's kite, say "Piglet, I
found your kite in my hunny pot. I am happy to return it for a pot
of hunny." Piglet takes the kite card, and mixes it with his
cards, and places them face down on the table. Piglet says,
"Now see if you can find my hunny!" Choose one card from Piglet
and add it to your hand. Piglet then turns his cards face up.
Busy Bees Card
"I do believe I hear busy bees buzzing!"
You may discard, hold, or play a "Busy Bees" card. Play a Busy
Bees card to prevent another player from picking up the Pooh's "Hunny is
Yummy" Card. When you hear another player shout "HUNNY!" be the
FIRST player to place a Busy Bees Card on the Discard Pile. Take
one Hunny Pot Card from the player who shouted "HUNNY!" The player
who loses the Hunny Pot Card draws one card from the Draw Pile. If
either player collects 4 hunny pots, the first player to shout "Hunny"
wins the game.
Winning the Game
The first player to avoid the bees, hold four hunny pots and shout "HUNNY!"
picks up the Pooh's "Hunny is Yummy" Card and wins the game.
