Maptangle Game Description:
Object of the
Game:
Your team must locate, and place their feet on all of the landmarks
and geographic locations in the deck. Choose one person to be the
team leader. The leader will draw the cards for each player but
will not play on the mat.
How to Play:
-
Play begins with
the team off of the mat. The order of play is youngest to oldest.
-
The team leader
shuffles the deck, draws two cards, and reads them aloud. The
first player must place his/her feet on the locations or landmarks on
the cards. The two cards are put into a discard pile.
-
The game proceeds
with the team leader drawing two cards at a time for each player.
-
As the game
continues, each player must keep his/her feet on the last locations on
which they were played. Each time the team leader draws for a
player, the player must move his/her feet, ONE AT A TIME, to the next
two locations.
-
A player may hold
onto, or be held up by, any or all members of the team. However,
the entire team is "maptangled" if any player falls down, is blocked
from moving by other players, cannot reach his/her two locations, or
touches the game mat with any part of his/her body other than feet.
When the team is "maptangled" they must all leave the mat. The
team leader draws the next two cards from the draw pile and play
continues with the next player's turn. The game is over if the
team is "maptangled" three times.
Winning:
The team wins when it has "traveled" to all one hundred an three
geographic locations and landmarks!
