board. The abstract animal and interlocking braided cord designs of 
Northern Britain and Ireland predate Christian times and harmonize
beautifully in this unique but ancient game. Chess was played on a
circular designed board centuries ago but mostly disappeared during
the Dark Ages. Only in recent years has this form of chess been
rediscovered. Although the moves remain the same, the modern chess
player is challenged by the uniqueness of this board. A must have for
