Proofs of Pythagoras Game Description:
 
Explore five proofs of the Pythagorean Theorem.
Pythagoras of Samos was a Greek teacher, philosopher and mystic who lived in the 6th century B.C. He is best known for his proof of a key formula in geometry. His theorem states that  for a right triangle, the square of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the other two sides a² + b² = c².
 
The Proof of Pythagoras set includes three hands-on models that provide easy-to-demonstrate graphic proofs of the theorem - 2 proofs by inspection and 3 algebraic proofs. Each transparent plastic proof comes in its own plastic case with lid and can used on the overhead projector for whole class demonstration and discussion.
 
Three transparent plastic models (including two using triangles) project on the overhead and are a hands-on way to demonstrate that a2 + b2 = c2.
