Shape by Shape created by puzzle master Nob Yoshigahara, Shape by Shape is based on the ancient game of tangram. Nob's innovation was to organize this puzzle into a mathematically pure set of pieces that pose multiple challenges contained within a single outside frame. The silhouettes are formed by two sets of red pieces that represent the three ways of combining two 45 degree isosceles triangles edge to edge. The backgrounds are formed by two sets of yellow pieces that represent the four ways to combine three 45 degree isosceles triangles edge to edge. Amazing!
