Description:
Shape, Model and Mold helps teach color, pattern and texture
recognition; encourages imaginative play and creativity.
Extension Activities:
Ask the child to identify the color of each tub of dough and count how
many tubs there are in all. Ask the child to identify the animal on each
lid.
Ask the child to count the remaining pieces in the set including the
stamping cubes, rolling pins, and cutting tools.
After rolling the dough out into long thin coils, ask the child to form
the capital letters of the alphabet using the rolled clay. Place each
letter on a flat surface in alphabetical order.
Take turns sculpting the dough into figures or objects. See who can
guess the sculpted objects the fastest.
Flatten out a piece of dough and create a pattern in it using the tools
in the set. Ask the child to replicate the pattern. Build a structure
and ask the child to replicate it.
