Game Description:
When children arrive at Smarty Farm, they embark upon an incredible adventure of the mind that gently, but firmly, challenges their powers of reasoning and visual perception.  They meet a tired farmer, who at the end of a very busy day, must gather all of his animals and put them into their proper places within the barn.  The children offer to help.  The grateful farmer suggests that the children take turns locating the animals three at a time, by tossing 3 large cubes (die) with pictures of cows, pigs and chickens.  A child must then find an animal card with the same number of cows, pigs, or chickens.  The arrangement of the animals on the card must be precisely matched over a window on the barn showing the same animals in the same positions.  Each animal cube has a picture of a barn showing the same animals 9in the same positions.  Each animals cube has a picture of a barn, permitting a child to make a "free choice" of any animal necessary to fill a space.  This factor also speeds up the game's progress. 

The animals appear as silhouette forms against positive (empty) and negative (solid) backgrounds.  this further stimulates a child's perceptual reasoning.  When the solid background cards are correctly placed into position, the barn conveys a sense of fullness. 

The game is presented in a multilevel format, designed to accommodate children of different ages and abilities.  No matter which way Smarty Farm is played, those 3 little animals will help children to visually organize and sort information in their minds.  The subtitle differences in the arrangement of the animal patterns will cause children to develop their powers of awareness.  A child's confidence is enhanced because the process of matching the animal patens provides a self-correcting guide, eliminating the need for adult supervision.
