Stethoscope Description:
A stethoscope is a tool that makes tiny sounds inside you sound
LOUD. A doctor puts the stethoscope's diaphragm (the thin, flat
membrane inside the chest piece), on your skin to listen to the sounds
of you heart, your lungs, and other important organs as they
work. These sounds tell a doctor a lot about what's going
on inside you because he or she can tell the difference between
healthy sounds and sick sounds!

How a
Stethoscope Works
The diaphragm in the chest piece collects sound waves from inside
the body. The sound waves travel up the connector tube, through
the binaural tubes to the ear pieces, and into your ears.
