STRUCTURAL SKILLS QUIZMO is designed to give learners a variety of enjoyable game experiences that will help them build skill in recognizing multi-syllabic words that are mad up of base words and prefixes and/or suffixes.  Provide practice in recognition of multi-syllabic words that are made up of base words plus a prefix and/or suffix.

Children increase skills in:

• Identifying base words.

• Identifying prefixes and suffixes.

• Recognizing multi-syllabic words by analyzing how the words are built.

• Dividing words into syllables.

• Using the meaning of affixes to develop vocabulary.

• 36 Double-sided Game Boards.  One side contains base (root) words, the other side includes affixes (prefixes and suffixes).

• 175 Calling Cards.  On one side of each card, printed in blue, is a single base word or affix. 
  Note:  The affixes have a small light blue star to the upper-right of the print.  On the other side, printed in red, are the several words that contain that base word plus an affix.
