Game Description:

Aim of the Game
To strategically plan how to collect the most balls from the various rows according to the rules of the game.

Setting Up

  1. Place the game board in the center of the playing area.

  2. Randomly distribute the 40 colored balls, not including the black ball, on the game board so that all the recesses are occupied.  If necessary, tilt the board until the balls roll into the unoccupied recesses.

  3. Place the black ball aside, to be used later.

  4. Notice the structure of the game board.  There are 40 recesses organized in 5 columns of 8 recesses each.  The arrows on the board indicate the top of each column - the starting point of the game.

How to Play

  1. Decide the order of play.

  2. The first player takes 1 or more balls (of the same color) from the row closest to the arrows.
    Notes:
    -
When you remove a ball from its recess, if another ball of the same color is "exposed" (becoming the first in the column), you may take this ball, as well.
    - You can take balls of the same color as long as they are "exposed", and there is no ball of different color between them and the arrow imprinted on the game board.

  3. The second player takes one or more "exposed" balls from the game board.
    Note:
    -
You do not have to take all the exposed balls of the same color in one turn, but you must take at least on ball.

  4. At this point there are a few possibilities.

  5. The game continues in this manner until the players have removed all the balls from the board.

The Winner is the player who collects the most balls.

Instructions for Advanced Players:
Remove one of the colored balls and replace it with the black ball.  Randomly distribute the 40 colored balls, including the black ball, on the game board so that all the recesses are occupied.
In this game version, every ball removed is worth 1 point, except for the black ball, which has an increased value of 5 points.  All the other instructions remain as above.

The Winner is the player who collects the most points.
(Remember: Each colored ball removed is worth 1 point and the black ball is worth 5 points.)
