naming the country or a geographical fact and asks for the capital.
The second level names the capital and asks for the country.
Provide
students with examples of both types of questions before playing
the game.

groups, in a large class setting or in teams.
How to Play - World Capitals Quizmo Game - Game Rules
By playing World
Capitals Quizmo students will:

Test their
knowledge of World Capitals in a fun, game format.

Begin to
understand the geographic relationships of countries within a
continent, to land forms, to other countries, etc*.

Learn to
recognize the shape of the country, bordering nations and the
approximate location of the country's capital.

36 Game
Boards with the answers to the 140 questions. The
front (Country) side, has the scrambled answers that match with
the green side of the calling cards. The reverse
(Capitals) side has the scrambled answers that match with the
blue side of the calling cards. Each Game Board has a
"Free" space in the center.

70 two
sided (color-coded) Calling Cards. The blue side of
the calling card contains the outlines of 51 different countries
and boundaries. A star has been placed at the approximate
location of the capital city. The blue side of the calling
cards also include 19 statements about various countries.
On the green side, there are 19 statements about various capital
cities. The answers to each statement/question are in
small print on the reverse side of the card.
